Jeremy Sacco: Tenor
When Jeremy started Similar Jones with Mike Schwartz in 1997, he had no idea it'd become a twenty-year journey of music, fun, and friendship. Looking back, he's amazed by the entire experience and wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.
Jeremy's love of singing started singing in middle school, and took him from choirs to musicals to a cappella, first with the Middlebury Bobolinks, then post college with Hip Eponymous, where he first experienced the mostly-guys-one-girl approach to building a group. Mike and Jeremy started Similar Jones to build on the kind of power-singing, funk-blues-rock sound they both loved, and it took off.
Over the years, Jeremy's played many different roles with the band, including agent, webmaster, arranger, soloist, roadie, business manager, accountant, designer, chef, bartender, promoter, talent scout, spokesman, vocal percussionist, T1, T2, baritone, and once -- on one song, at one show where the band was short a singer -- bass. (Note: Jeremy is not a bass.) Lately he's happily singing a middle voice and helping SJ continue to find opportunities to perform, write, and record music.
A technology marketing professional by day, Jeremy lives in Needham MA with his wife Cyndi and two amazing little boys, who like hearing him sing Joy to the World but can't quite carry a tune. Yet.
