Similar Jones seeks bass

Similar Jones is looking for a new bass. Our ideal bass singer shows real soul and a strong sense of rhythm. Must be able to work in tandem with our drummer and provide a solid foundation for our sound.

Live performance experience is helpful. You should show solid dedication and take yourself seriously as a musician. You should also be able to have some fun in largely-creative rehearsals: If you haven't written music before, you will!

What is Similar Jones?

We're a part-time professional vocal band. Our second CD has just been released, we have regular gigging opportunities, and we're still growing as a band. We're focused on writing and performing originals, as well as continually improving our live performances. We're inspired by (and cover) a lot of soul, pop, rock, and jazz. We rehearse twice a week, and gig several times a month at all kinds of places - clubs, homes, streets, stages -- see our gigs page.
